You live as long as you dance.

– Rudolf Nureyev

The legendary Paris Opera Ballet is not only the oldest national ballet company; it is also one of the most prestigious, tracing its origins to the court of Louis XIV and including in its roster of famous dancers and choreographers the equally legendary Rudolf Nureyev and Sylvie Guillem.

Spend an unforgettable day with your budding ballerina—or budding ballet dancer—enjoying an immersion into the magical world of the Paris Opera Ballet.  Begin with a private behind-the-scenes tour of the premises, including areas never seen by the general public. Attend a rehearsal in a small rehearsal room or in the Foyer de la Dance, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet with some of the artists, or perhaps dine with the dancers on stage before enjoying an evening performance. For something truly special, meet former principal dancers who knew Nureyev well, and see the legendary dancer’s manuscripts.

No ballet experience would be complete without the actual experience of dancing with a member of the Paris Opera Ballet. This strictly limited option, fully customized according to your child’s dance level and the availability of the dancers, is reserved for children with dance experience, and could range from a brief ten- to fifteen-minute session with a junior member of the corps de ballet to a master class with a Maître de Ballet or, for more qualified dancers, with one of the company’s principals. For serious, advanced students, longer training sessions can be arranged, including a one-week course where your child learns a small role and then dances it with members of the company.

If one magical day at the Paris Opera Ballet isn’t enough, consider a three-day immersion instead, beginning with the Paris Opera Ballet Experience, then continuing your discovery of the city’s many delights during two days devoted to VIP private shopping, perfume creation, cooking classes and gastronomy.
